The name Plado (pla-do) comes from the Esperanto language, meaning “Plate”. Esperanto is the world’s most widely spoken constructed International language. Created by Polish Ophthalmologist L.L. Zamenhof in the 1800s, the goal of the language was to serve as a motivator for global unity and world peace. Here at Plado we believe the fondest memories are made when we gather around the table & share a meal together. A beautiful meal is an ingredient that binds us together.
